Very First Home Theater

At our first project meeting, I was handed a home theater blueprint of a highly engineered design by a well known professional in the industry with details of craftsmanship, materials, air handling, sight lines, wiring specifications, bass traps, equipment, speaker specs, placements, and more. With so much thought and detail put into the document, I shouldn’t have been surprised by the owners desire to continue to have a hands on experience with the build. By hands on, I mean a true collaboration at every step from the construction, to the pre-wiring, sound proofing, modifications, staging, purchasing, researching, acoustical treatment, calibration, etc..etc…etc.

To my surprise, I later discovered this is the Very First Home Theater this client has ever owned. He portrayed the level of experience of a journeyman home theater owner. He is a movie and music affection-ado who had a few top shelf components already in his inventory and had studied and planned in anticipation of bringing the theater of his dreams to reality. His input was immeasurable and added a unique level of ownership to the project.

Now at the end, I couldn’t be happier with the results, the experience, and the opportunity to implement his vision of an incredible cinematic experience.

Soffit, column, and platform details installed after sealing the room with isolated double layer rock and floor base material. The isolation effect is stunning after removing all outside noise from the room. A truly immersive cinema experience awaits.
